Varsity Girls Basketball Program Description Seventh year and eighth year students continue to learn and apply the fundamentals of basketball during practice and at games by participating on the Girls Varsity Team. They learn the principles of team-work and self-growth while working to achieve both team and inividual goals. Students in 6th grade are sometimes used to round out the team and develop their basketball skills through increased playing time. Typically, practices are held twice a week from mid-November through March. Game contests are usually held on weekday evenings and weekend afternoons. Our Varsity Team participates in the Pittsburgh Diocesan League playing opponents from other Diocesan schools. Home games are held at Holy Child School Gym (Reich Hall). Players and their families are responsible for transportation to and from away games. Tim Miller TOP
