Mission
of the PTG
Our mission as the Holy Child Catholic School
Parent-Teacher Guild is to share in the teaching ministry of Jesus Christ
by giving support to our teachers in educating our children. We shall strive
to enhance the teaching ministry by providing programs and activities that
will help to develop the spiritual, moral, academic, social and physical
values of the children. The Holy Child Catholic School Parent-Teacher Guild
will achieve this goal by working closely with the administration and faculty
of the school.
We hope to achieve this by:
a) the advancement of Catholic education and
the welfare of the children of the School;
b) the promotion of parent-school activities
and interest in educational and civic affairs;
c) the enhancement of the parents' and teachers'
roles in the education of children by increasing their knowledge of education
and its processes, by increasing their mutual understanding of children,
and also by providing an opportunity for parents and teachers to work together
for the good of the children in a Catholic school setting;
d) the planning and implementation of fundraising
activities to help defray the costs of the school and provide funds for necessary
improvements of the educational environment; and
e) the integration of future fundraising
activities with other organizations recognized by the school
administration.
